FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
BOOKING & PRODUCTION FAQ
How far in advance should we reach out to book a shoot?
For narrative films, commercial campaigns, and multi-day documentaries, 2 to 4 weeks notice is ideal for location scouting, script breakdown, and crew scheduling. However, for urgent single-day editorial assignments or time-sensitive events in Kathmandu, same-week dates are occasionally accommodated.
What happens if weather changes in Kathmandu Valley or the mountains?
Mountain and monsoon weather in Nepal is dynamic. For outdoor and aerial shoots, we plan dedicated contingency buffer days into the production agreement. If conditions become hazardous or light drops below cinematic thresholds, we adjust blocking or reschedule the exterior frames without punitive rescheduling fees.
What delivery formats and master files will we receive?
Every production is delivered in full-resolution 4K ProRes 422HQ (or 4444 upon request) master files, alongside web-optimized H.264/H.265 files for streaming and social channels. For photography, you receive full-resolution 16-bit TIFF prints and web-ready JPEGs. Raw Log footage and project archives can be delivered on physical hard drives upon request.
How does the editing, color grading, and revision workflow work?
Our post pipeline is collaborative: we first deliver an Assembly Cut for narrative pacing and sequence sign-off. Once Picture Lock is reached, we proceed through two structured client revision rounds, followed by our signature 35mm film emulation color grade, sound design, and master audio mastering.
