About Moktan Films

Moktan Films is a production house in Kathmandu, founded in 2022 by Indra Moktan. It exists for clients who want film-grade work without a film-grade machine around it — small crews, one point of contact, and a look that comes from the actual location instead of a filter.

The studio takes a project from concept through delivery: development, shoot, edit, grade and final masters. Indra leads the camera on studio projects, and brings in a trusted crew only when the story asks for one. The personal work lives on this site; the client work lives at Moktan Films. Same eye, different job.

We adhere to strict format-level transparency: core camera bodies and optical packages are owned or rented per production requirement in Kathmandu. Clients only pay for what their script needs — whether that's a lightweight single-operator doc setup or full cine anamorphic glass.
What is the standard turnaround time for delivery?
Commercial spots typically deliver first assembly within 5–7 business days; full narrative shorts and documentaries take 2–3 weeks from wrap to final color master. Rush delivery options (within 72 hours) are available for urgent campaigns.
Do you handle permits and location permissions across Nepal?
Yes. We manage local municipal permits, drone clearance where applicable, and private venue coordination across Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, and trekking corridors.
